Designed for the detection of unauthorized smoking in areas subject to high winds, rapid ventilation, smoke and gas. Typical applications include open areas, building entry/exit points, rooms with high ceilings above 12 feet (3m) or locations subject to intermittent smoke or vapour. The module will detect a 1” flame from a match or lighter at 6m within 1 second and produce a voice message asking smokers to extinguish their cigarettes.

When installed as part of a Cig-Arrête Tobacco Control System, the FDV can be combined with Smoke Detection Slave units (CSA-SGA) to provide complete smoke/flame coverage. The CSA-FDV is battery powered as standard, or mains powered when used with a CSA-DBD optional board.
